Upcoming PS5 games: All the new PS5 games for 2021 and beyond
Far Cry 6

Developer: Ubisoft Toronto
Publisher: Ubisoft
Release date: October 7, 2021
Set on the tropical island of Yara, the next entry in the Far Cry franchise sees you play as Yaran Dani Rojas, a guerilla fighter leading a resistance against the dictatorship ruling over the nation. Said to be an island "stuck in time," you lead your fellow fighters in a bid to free the island from its tyrannical leader, Anton Castillo (played by Giancarlo Esposito). We don't know much about the gameplay just yet, but it'll no doubt deliver another helping of Far Cry's own blend of open-world action.

Back 4 Blood

Developer: Turtle Rock Studios
Publisher: Warner Bros.
Release date: October 12, 2021
Back 4 Blood is Left 4 Dead 3 in all but name, and we're 100% here for it. Having spent some time with the alpha, we can assure Left 4 Dead fans that the same frantic team-focused gameplay, distinctive style, and loud personality are back in Back 4 Blood. Everything we've seen from Turtle Rock on Back 4 Blood is pure, nostalgia-inducing glee in the form of an upcoming next-gen co-op zombie bashing romp, and we absolutely can't wait to team up on PS5.
Battlefield 2042

Developer: DICE
Publisher: EA
Release date: October 22, 2021
Battlefield 2042 is the next installment in the series and it's going multiplayer only. On PS5, expect huge 128-player matches across Conquest and Breakthrough all-out warfare modes. These will be set across dynamic, vast maps that scatter across the globe. Battle conditions will constantly change, including conjuring up sandstorms, rocket launches, and tornadoes - all of which you'll have to adapt to on the fly.
Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy

Developer: Eidos Montreal
Publisher: Square Enix
Release date: October 26, 2021
Eidos Montreal is putting its own spin on the Guardians of the Galaxy, with an adventure where you play as Star-Lord. Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy will have a single beginning and end, but the decisions you make as the leader of this gaggle of misfits will affect how the game plays out. The decisions extend to combat too, with you able to command the other Guardians in battle. It's a brand new take on the Guardians, but with the same banter and charm you've come to expect from the MCU and the comics.
